Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?

A SABAL Solar Canopy costs $140,000 fully installed for non-US customers in the Caribbean region, South America, or Pacific, a rate of $4.16 per watt. A unit starts off producing around 71,000 kWh per year. The long term cost, including purchase cost, works out to $0.18 per kWh for 20 years in this region.

To calculate the expected cost of your project, multiply the number of canopies times this price. A discount applies for orders of more than 10 units. If you are considering a US-based installation, prices are higher - please email us for a request.

How does installation work?

Installation is done by our Bahamas-based partner APS Bahamas.

A geotechnical survey of the site is required to determine the soil composition, and the required characteristics of the post foundations. These costs can be variable. Further, distance to the interconnection points is also a variable.

Options such as under canopy lighting, vehicle charging, billboard logos and informational signs are additional charges. Additional interconnection charges may be imposed by your utility.

How long does it take to get them?

Lead times are around six months. The installation takes only a few days, depending on the geotechnical survey results.
